Just got a DS: What games should I get

I just got a DS in a trade. I've played the Advance Wars games, Metroid, and that's pretty much it. What other games should I get? (Note: I've never played Chrono Trigger, so that one is already on my "get" list)

Mario Kart DS
if you are into these kinds of games, Shin Megami Tensei Devil survivor, I want it badly

They are all really different than most RPGs. I have only played Persona 3 and 4, but they are both some of my top games of all time. You play a high school student in those, and you have to level your stats outside of combat, and then you go to combat at certain points. It sounds boring, but it's not. it's kinda hard to explain, but they are great.

Hotel Dusk 215 - Probably my favorite DS game. Amazing story, amazing characters, amazing art style.

Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword - Best action game on DS, imo. Great visuals, you fight dragons.

Super Princess Peach - Great platformer, controls very much like Mario 2, MegaMan-style powerups.

Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow - It's castlevania, some people consider it SoTN's spiritual successor.

Electroplankton - Really fun, trippy music 'tool', nothing else like it on DS.

Contra 4 - Awesome especially if you owned an NES, hard as shit, and co-op.

Professor Layton - Puzzles, fun puzzles, 'British' voice acting.

I'm a fan of Puzzle Quest but I have never tried it on the DS.

Etrian Odyssey and Izuna both bring back the older school RPGs in the form of a Wizardry clone and a roguelike.

Get Mario Kart DS
Contra 4

also maybe consider Chrono Trigger DS and Elite Beat Agents. Yes, these are all listed in order of importance.

AVOID:

Metroid Prime Hunters
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
COD4 DS
Starfox Command
Ninja Gaiden DS

Also get Metroid Zero Mission. Yes, it's a GBA game. But I didn't get it till I had a DS and I loved the heck out of it. It kicked Metroid Prime Hunter's butt, which is sort of ironic and sad cause MPH is supposed to be more modern and better.
