Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

New Auction Ads - Support The Site!

Post by racketboy »

I'm changing up some of the advertising on the site with some auction-based ads that are more tailored to the subject matter here.
Right now it's all Sega stuff :)

Anyway, I've been testing them out a bit on the retrogaming section and they have been working pretty well.

If you have a video game site that you want decent advertising, I recommend AuctionAds completely.
Not only is it easier to get relevant gaming ads, but you only need to earn $20 to get paid as opposed to Google's $100.

If you're remotely interested, please use the AuctionAds.com link on the bottom of the ads so I can get credited as a referer.
This will help support the site as well.

Let me know what you think!

These look good and actually relevent to the site topic, let us know how the performance is compared to whatever it was you were using before (AdSense?). Might try for my site down the road sometime.

The ads have been doing MUCH better than the Google text ones.
I'm making about 3X - 4X as much as I did then.

If you have a site, I STRONGLY recommend them.

So far, they will help pay for my new sheet-feeding scanner for magazine scans and possibly some site enhancements.

I finally turned off "you know what" so I could check these ads out. Pretty nice. I can see why they'd be doing well. At least you don't have unrelated ads here.

Yeah, that's the beauty of them. You can set the keywords and stuff instead of GoogleAds trying to figure out what ads to serve up.
So if you know what type of stuff your audience is interested in, you're good to go.
Also, I'm sick of all the gaming Google ads that are just dumb stuff.
Next month, I'm going to experiment with all Auction ads and see how much of a difference it makes.

I've actually clicked on quite a few ads. Some of them are quite interesting. :)

Every now and then their server acts up and give your the default (the most popular items).
But for the most part, they work fine.
