What do you need to buy to make this work. I'm seeing plenty of articles about the emulators themselves but now where you put them.
what do you need?
Emulation on DS?
Re: Emulation on DS?
I went with the CycloDS Evolution. It's really easy to use, and the only other thing I think you would need to buy is a micro SD card. I honestly can't remember where I bought it from, but someone else here may know of a decent site.
I know there are some decent guides on how to install emulators to the CycloDS provided in the "guides" section of the site as well.

If you are patient, you can probably still get cheap micro SDs from dealextreme. The one I got from there some 18 months ago was a 2 GB one from Kingston - you are often worried that the stuff is actually a fake, but at least in my case I managed to register mine on Kingston's site (although I needed to go to the "appropriate" region, which was either Asia or Japan - that part wasn't trivial).

So CycloDS is the best Flash Cart?
I see there are alot of options. The other question is, what is a legit site to buy the flash cart from?

CycloDS is the best, but for the most part you don't really need the top of the line features. The most compelling feature of the CycloDS is save states (like an emulator). If you're just planning on emulating anyway, your emulator will have save states so there's no reason to get it.
I have an R4ultra and a TTDS. Both are very good cards and less than $10, and I wouldn't bother buying a CycloDS unless you know you're going to use its unique features.

Re: Emulation on DS?
I agree that CycloDS is the best. I have a couple of them in fact. If you want to play GBA games as well get the EZ Flash 3in1.
As for emulation, Genesis emulation is decent and I believe NES is pretty much perfect. Otherwise I'm not so sure. I know that SNES emulation is pretty pointless in its current forms.

Re: Emulation on DS?
You can emulate GBA can't you? With the any of the DS cards?
Also, I thought you could emulate SNES?

If you want to play GBA games, you will need an EZ Flash 3 in 1 or a similar device along with your DS flash card. There are SNES emulators but it doesn't run the greatest.
I would agree that the CycloDS is the best flash card, but an Acekard 2 is another good choice for less money.

I prefer the Acekard 2i. Just make sure you're using...ugh...I forget what the custom firmware was called, it was an acronym that started with an A...
Just to let you know, SNES emulation isn't too accurate, and can't emulate Super FX. Most games that don't have enhancement chips will work, with some of them you may need to tweak the settings a little bit.
NES, Genesis, and Gameboy are emulated close to perfect. I heard there's a fairy good Neo Geo MVS/AVS emulator, but I haven't tried it.
