Heck I actually bought it that way for $10 haha. I still have not come across anything that I want to play that isn't compatible and it really does help load times. In Soul Calibur 2 the matches load so fast you dont even know who your fighting if you blink at the right time.
But enough threadjacking from me. Thanks for the Silent Hill advice Ack!

Re: What games are you looking forward to this holiday season
Ok a buddy of mine sold me on Borderlands last night. 4 player drop in drop out coop FPS with "millions of weapons," random stages, and vehicles... Ohh baby. Now I anticipate there really only being a couple dozen weapons, maybe a hundred, and the rest of them are just stat or status differences, but it still looks neat. I am just very disappointed there is not an explosion specialist class - Some of us like blowing the hell out of things. Looks like Im playing the sniper or the mentalist.
You other Borderland fans what are you buying it on?

Pretty much for the split-screen/online co-op. In fact next week we'll be visiting the in-laws and my father-in-law has a couple of 360s set up so we're planning to do some 4 player. Should be fun.fastbilly1 wrote:Ok a buddy of mine sold me on Borderlands last night. 4 player drop in drop out coop FPS with "millions of weapons," random stages, and vehicles... Ohh baby. Re: What games are you looking forward to this holiday season
i remember early borderlands footage, and I loved it, Brutal Legend just set me back a few bucks(realllly good btw) but I will likely end up buying Borderlands as well
Re: What games are you looking forward to this holiday season
Ok, so I looked around some more. Here's what I'm thinking will be worth checking out:
Borderlands
Brutal Legend
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Demon's Souls
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Way of the Samurai 3
Thankfully I don't own a PS3(or a working 360), so that gives me a little time to grab some of these. I'm interested in Modern Warfare's Co-Op mode quite a bit, though I am annoyed that you can only get the special releases if you get a console purchase(the nicest one supposedly includes working night-vision goggles).
There's also a new version of Way of the Samurai 3 on the way in Japan for PS3 that includes more content, called Way of the Samurai 3 Plus. I'm kind of wondering if we'll see it stateside. It makes me not want to pick up Way of the Samurai 3 so I can get the new material.

360. I'm looking forward to the same thing hopefully. It is pretty easy to get 1 other player, but 3 is a tall order where i'm from. Hopefully it'll happen.General Chaos wrote:Pretty much for the split-screen/online co-op. I really want to get Brutal Legend and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but it's getting harder and harder to spend $60 every time a new game comes out.
