GunCon AV Adapter NPC-103G , question !

Post by s8n »

hi team , i just got this in the mail attached to a Namco Guncon 1.

its Model Number is NPC-103G

it differs a bit from the Australian one i had about 10 years ago , the question is can i connect a RGB SCART cable to it or does it have to be standard AV Composite cable ?

I actually tried to fit my PS1 RGB SCART cable to it and it fits but will it work ? i have no way of testing the RGB SCART atm so im asking here.

Yeah, it'll work with an SCART cable as all it does is pass through all of the PS1 Multi-Out's pins and splice the Guncon into the AV composite signal it needs to sync up with the TV and still shoot it in RGB.

P.S. - That thing looks awesome, it's so much smaller than the regular one!

nice work as per usual Mod_Man thanks for the info.........

yea it is smaller to the one i had 10 years ago , but the other one has an advantage ie easy to use Audio Outputs i used to hook it up to my stereo and blow off heads in Time Crisis 1.

All that device does is pull the sync signal out of the composite video stream.

All other signals are passed straight through. You can use any connection that's 15KHz on "Standard Def" on a CRT (SCART, S-Video, Composite).
