Hey, I have another question but I don't want to start another topic. What games work with the Saturn 3D pad? Also I took a look around and made a list of my top picks to start a non-bank-breaking collection of excellent Saturn titles. The list:

1. NiGHTS Into Dreams*
2. Virtua Fighter 2*
3. Manx TT Superbike
4. Die Hard Arcade
5. Wipeout*
6. Mass Destruction
7. Sega Rally Championship
8. Virtua Cop
9. Panzer Dragoon*
10. Resident Evil*
11. Street Fighter Alpha 2
12. Guardian Heroes
13. Sonic Jam
14. Burning Rangers
15. Sonic 3D Blast*
16. Virtual On
17. Winter Heat
18. Steep Slope Sliders
19. Quake
20. Galactic Attack

*-I allready own these

best 3D saturn game

Post by alexkidd »

How could none of you guys have mentioned Sonic R? I know it might not be the greatest game but to me it is easily the best 3D graphics on Saturn. Dead or Alive is probably #2 and VF2 #3.

If you just want to show them a game that has 3D graphics as nice as any game on PS1 go w/ Sonic R. Dead or Alive looks as good as any PS1 3D fighter.

Unless I'm thinking of something else wasn't Sonic R also on the Mega Drive?

Resident Evil Really should have been mentioned already. I know a lot of it is just rendered in 2D but you got to admit it looks really good. As for sports games both World Series Baseball '98 and NHL Powerplay are excellent i 3D quality.

Yeah, Sonic R did a lot of things many thought wasn't even possible on the Saturn, and was almost N64 quality.
Virtua Fighter 2 blew me away back in the day on the system, too. Miles smoother than any of the PSone Tekken games, and that high-res mode was sexy as heck.
