Re: you should probably listen to these bands
Could you list the genres of the bands, or at least warn the other users about the Screamo bands (my poor ears)?

Re: you should probably listen to these bands
I see the links lead to myspace and in my general observations a band that posts their stuff on Myspace probably sucks. So no thanks. I mean sure there are some good ones, but inevitably if they are that good they will get some form of publicity eventually.

Music Recommendation thread. Indie
Girls - Album - This is some great laid back surf rock. It never tries to be too complex, and results in some good easy listening.
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds - Well known album, but if you haven't listened to it, DO IT NOW.
Beatles - Rubber Soul - Probably my favorite Beatles album. There isn't a track on this album that isn't a 10/10.
Black Bear - The Cinnamon Phase - Nice indie music out of Seattle. The music has a electronic backing to it that works to wonderful effect.
Nujabes - Modual Soul - One of the guys that worked on the soundtrack for Samurai Champloo. Fantastic synth based grooves. Laid back, and easy to mellow out to.
The Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk at Cubist Castle, Black Foliage - My second favorite band of all time. Psychedelic pop to the max. You'll never hear a record with more sound in it, but my god is it worth it to sit and listen and dissect these two albums. These people love sounds, and are master orchestraters.

Hmm almost all the bands I listen to are on myspace. It's kind of a guaranteed place to find music samples because of the standard player they all have.
