Which 2D Fighters had the most insane bosses?
Rugal in king of fighters 94 / 95 I mean those games were hard to clock without continuing against the normal charachters but the last boss was amazingly hard. I mean I've played near most all the major hard bosses like on Marvel vs Capcom Onslaught, Streetfighter Alpha 2 Shin Akuma, Xmen Children of the Atom Magneto but for me I found Rugal the hardest of the bunch with Shin Akuma being a close second followed by Cyber Akuma from Xmen VS Street fighter a nice 3rd.
The only time I could regularly beat a "boss" Rugal was in CVS2. Old SNK was brutal...msimplay wrote:Rugal in king of fighters 94 / 95 I mean those games were hard to clock without continuing against the normal charachters but the last boss was amazingly hard. Re: Kintaro from MKII
i could only beat kintaro with sub zeroIvo wrote:Kintaro from MK II is rather tricky IMO. Shao Kahn in MK II wasn't exactly easy either, but I think Kintaro was harder.
But I am far from a fighting expert.

Re: Kintaro from MKII
Likewise! I finished the game with other characters by cruising to Kintaro with Sub, defeating Kintaro, losing on purpose against Kahn, and then swapping into another.arion wrote:i could only beat kintaro with sub zeroIvo wrote:Kintaro from MK II is rather tricky IMO. Gill is definately the one who comes to my mind: insane damage, cheap specials, god-like priorities, revival from nowhere.. I would have been bored much sooner if his stage music was not so groovy. A few of his moves are easier to parry though.
As a second class boss in 3rd Strike, top-level difficulty Gouki is also a pain (you have to fight him before Gill when you choose.. Ryu I guess).

I don't know if this is considered an easy boss because I don't often play 2D fighters but... The boss in King of Fighters Dream Match 1999? I got brutally beatten so many times.
