Time Splitters 4 Petition

Post by Gooseberrysoda »

This is important- Here's the biggest petition for Timesplitters 4 on the internet. If you haven't played one of the originals (2 and 3 are the best) I recommend you do so. However, sign this petition if you haven't already so what will undoubtebly be the best game on modern consoles can be made! http://www.petitiononline.com/TS4tcbd1/petition.html

I'll sign it but more information in the thread title would have been nice.

Hooray online petitions - they always work! There's no better way to get something done!

Actually, the head of CrytekUK said the reason they weren't developing it right now is because they don't know if they have enough support.

I don't think that changes my claim. Every time some fan community wants something, gets worked up about something, etc. - they decide that petition online is the way to go. Maybe there are success stories that I don't know about - I'd love to find out, but I doubt it.

Normally I'd agree, but the Paranormal activity petition thing worked out pretty well. Although that wasn't really a fan started petition, but still.

The only fan movement that was successful that jumps to mind was Firefly → Serenity.

The Serenity/Firefly thing comes to mind. Also, despite lukewarm reception in Japan, enough clamoring from fans in the states caused Big O to get a second season.

But most of the times petitions mean crap.

Did that really have anything to do with a petition? I am not saying fans can't get results, just that there are probably much better ways to go about it...

Well, there were plenty of them in relation to Firefly. But of course other methods of bringing attention to the desire for more were used.

But anyway , on topic, writing a real letter to whomever is thinking of making a new game or holds the rights will probably go a lot further than an online petition where anybody and their 500 'friends' can spend half a second clicking a box.
