so i originally picked up a pair of doc's wireless ps1 controllers. They lacked the analogue sicks, but i figured that was all i could get. The receiver attaches flush with the console, matches the gray and looks great.
Then I found a set of controllers from the same company with analogue sticks. Bought em. Look at this receiver! I think it has 2 separate IR signals. Fucking crazy. I don't understand how you could go from such a sleek design to this....
I feel like my ps1 is watching me.
For anyone looking to get a set, they work great, but the downside is that the controllers take 4 AAA batteries each. Kind of rough.

damn dude are you sure thats the IR receiver and not a webcam, someone could be watching you play!
from the looks of it, you might as well play PS1 games on PS3 since dualshock 3's are the same as the first ones.

Re: odd ps1 doc's wireless
I'd like to play em on my ps3, but that console is made of wishes and hopes in my house right now. I am holding out for a 60 gb. I'd rather not settle, and although the ps3 has some great exclusive games there isn't anything I can't wait for.
Depending on how dcu online is, that might change.
In all honesty though- the ps1 is about to be retired to the closet because of space issues. Sad day.
I wish I had enough room to properly display all my consoles but the room just can't look adult and normal with 17 consoles up.

GOOD GOD. That thing scared the crap out of me. I literally jumped back in my seat. What could they have possibly been thinking?

Re: odd ps1 doc's wireless
fuck that noise, just get some logitech cordless action controllers (they work on PS1 and PS2, though the newer revisions may need an extension cord so the receiver doesnt block the memory card slot) they are comfy and have pretty good battery life (i think up to 50 hours on 2 AAs with vibration on, probably more with vibration off)

Ha. I actually have one of those logitech controllers already. I just like getting these controllers from the same era as the system. Making them match up. Ya know?

In this case it might be more of a mutate than match.
