I know pointing up with a shotgun at close range is a guarenteed headshot. Pistols at range are random, and I think the percentage goes up if you aim up with the zombie close (but if it doesn't you'll be getting hit).

I believe head shots are supposed to be random chance. That said, I have discovered some interesting tricks in the game, like waiting for a zombie to get point blank and shooting up. If I remember, that might help, but I can't guarantee its going to work.

Also, on a fun note, if you are wielding the shotgun and a zombie gets point blank, there's a chance you'll blow him in half.

I'm at the part in the mine where the boulder nearly crushes you. I assume you have to pick up the flamethrower and put it on another rack. UNFORTUNATELY, MY INVENTORY IS FULL. I don't know where another box is and the only other one I can think of is all the way back in the house. I also have critical health and have not saved since Just after meeting Rebecca. I have no idea what to do.

Well...do you have a clear path back that you can remember? Any items you can use up, or are you carrying that much gear and weapons? There should be some way for you to drop an item.

I have two cranks, a shotgun, a book, and two keys

Is one of those the hex crank? I figured I'd ask. If you're around the boulder, you should have it, and I know about where you are in the game. Honestly, I think you are going to have to run back, and while there is a save room coming up pretty soon, you're going to have to fight your way to it I'm afraid.

Yeah. I have to work in six hours so after a long debate with myself I decided to try and make a run for the house. I don't think I've ever been more stressed out playing a video game in my life. I panicked and ran into a bunch of doors, and amazingly managed to avoid everything. At one point, I didn't know where I was and came around a corner and had a goddamn heart attack when one of the mutant creatures screamed, lept at my face and covered the camera. I don't know how I managed to escape his leap, but I got out of the confrontation without getting hit. I somehow ended up in the store room with where the chemical was. Conveniently, there is a bunch of ammo and a health spray on the floor that was not there before. Too stressed out and tired to play anymore of this ridiculousness.

Best feature they added to Resident Evil Zero was a "drop item" feature, which let you free up some inventory. You even could retrieve the item later, as it simply was placed wherever you were standing.

I beat Resident Evil 2 this evening. It's amazing. I wasn't too impressed with the first one back then, and after getting RE2 and dying a few times before reaching the police station I seriously thought I would never get around to play this.

And now I'm through with the game, actually had a lot of fun, in the end even managed to play it after sunset and now have a way more positive view on the Resident Evil series. :)

Great. Now you can play as the other character for the second half of the story, or start over with the other character, and then play as your current character in the second half of the story. And there's always the others in the series, though most fans acknowledge Resident Evil 2 as the best of that style in the series.
