Aspers? I've never heard of that. Do you mean Asperger's Syndrome? I kinda doubt it's Apert Syndrome you were diagnosed with.

It's cool. I'm sorry to hear that though. But if you already suspected it, then I'm glad you've been diagnosed and can hopefully now seek some kind of treatment for it.

Yeah, that makes some of your recent posts make a little more sense. Sorry to hear that man. Its got to be comforting to know a reason for certain things though. Try to remember to bring it up as a reason, but not an excuse around people you interact with so they can understand and hopefully try to help. Good luck dealing with it in a healthy manner.

My Sister is a professional psychologist and deals with Asperger's, and my wife has had a few students with it as well. When my wife first told me about it, I thought she said one of her students had Ass Burgers.
If you have any general questions, I'd be happy to forward them to my Sister, don't hesitate.
Now, I have a question for you:
Do you think young children with Asperger's should have separate classrooms? I know the severity of it can really vary, but last year my wife spent 80% of her time on one child who had a severe case.

I have Asperger's Syndrome myself, but I have that since when I was about 3 or 4 years old. My speech is fine, its just writing that I have problems with, but I am good at catching my typos.

My old Boy Scout troop had several Aspies in it. One was a really severe case, but most I know just have tendencies to be very one-track minded.

Thanks alot everyone! I'm starting therapy ASAP. And hahaha at Luke " ass burgers" that's what my mom said also. But anyway, yes I think children with Asperger's should have seperate classrooms because it takes more time to teach children with asperger's and they need a teacher who can fully understand their situation and give them the attention and time they need, because in a regular classroom like you said the teacher will have to take more time to work with one student and this takes time away from the other students, and in most cases if the teacher doesn't know the child has asperger's they just consider the student to be a poor student or one that doesn't listen and this creates stress between the student and teacher. So yes, they do need their own classroom. And I greatly appreciate it Luke, if I have any questions at all I will make sure to contact you!Luke wrote:My Sister is a professional psychologist and deals with Asperger's, and my wife has had a few students with it as well.
