Not as bad, but you're still severely stressing the cartridge port and connector of a twenty five year old machine so do it at your own risk to the console.

As I said earlier, I think you'll be fine if it's just every once in a while. At least, I never had a problem, and I rarely use my Game Genie.

IE: The mechanism into which you load a cartridge.

It can get stressed more than with just a regular cart when you use a Game Genie as well.

hmm..didnt realize it was so bad for the connecters, but i guess it makes sense. i always used mine because it gave me a good, solid connection.
