You guys make me feel old. I got in a lot of trouble from my folks for trading my NES copy of 1942 for this beast.

I’m pretty sure a few action figures where thrown in too, but my parents, (and even my neighbors) said I was an idiot for trading a state of the art electronic video game for a piece of plastic.

I remember when I was in middle school I would rent my Sega Genesis games out for 50 cents a night. I had to pay for my own games (except for the one a year I got for X-mas/B-day) so I'd rent them out like this to save up and buy new ones for myself.

That's how I actually amassed most of my Sega CD collection. Sonic CD, Lunar, Lunar 2, Ecco, Ecco Tides of Time, and Earthworm Jim. All purchased on 50 cent rental fees.

In the end though it wasn't really a good choice. I did end up losing 3 games in the end. 2 of which I did get back a couple years later (hooked up with a friend of mine after I moved away and he hunted them down for me).

My best trade as a kid was a pair of old bauer roller boots for an amiga 32 with 2 controllers, 10 demo discs and 15 games.

I'm pretty sure that "trading for money" is actually called "selling."

how does this make me gay. did i not mention my dad had a STASH of these things, i could afford to give away that many and when your 8 years old pokemon is pretty much all that matters, titties could take a number and wait for all that i could care (at the time)

besides i kept all the really good Hustlers and Scores for my self
