BOOM! Headshot!

Nah, it wasn't me, though I know the pain. I got sniped out of a Chrono Trigger cart a few weeks ago...it went for $27.00(I bid $25.00).

It wasnt me, but if you were willing to pay more you should have made your max bid higher. And if you still lost in the end, no complaining

I find that bidding early usually works out in the end. Set a price that you think is a deal and see if you get it. Half the time you will, half the time you won't (at least in my experience). That way you are happy if you win; if you lose it then you won't feel cheated and can move onto the next item (if multiple ones are listed). For cheaper items I usually snipe, it seems to work better.

Probably the same person today who bid on the same lot of NES sleeves as me instead of bidding on any of the other damn lots that worked out to about the same price that didn't have any bids yet.

When I was bidding on Little Samson recently I know some jackass was going to snipe me at the last second. I really wanted the game so I made sure my max bid was pretty high. Sure enough I paid $40 more in the last 5 seconds than I would have otherwise. Damn Snipers!!!

What you paid was the fair value for that cart at that particular time. Whether someone put that bid at the last minute or at the beginning of the auction is irrelevant.

A sniper is trying to catch someone who does not put in a max bid for an auction which is surprisingly common.

I did put in a max bid. And I did it early (4 days). I just didn't want to pay a lot!
