A lot of the games are hard to play if you cannot read Japanese.
Zenki, Super God Tropper, Chip Chan Kick, and super league FX are some of the best games and you don't need knowledge in Japanese, but they are very expensive like $100 and up. You can always burn them though.

I have a decent Turbografx collection and if I had the extra loot, that would be the system I really build an impressive library of games for. I have briefly looked at the PC-FX and as Pepharytheworm mentioned above Tyoushin Heiki Zeroigar or Super God Trooper is a title that stood out. It's a shmup that looks pretty nice and is supposed to be fun. I tried to get it to work with an emulator, but no go.pepharytheworm wrote: Super God Tropper

Hey that looks pretty cool. Maybe I'll consider finding a copy to buy at some point.

Super God Tropper is average at best. Its not bad its just not awesome. But its a must have for the pc-fx because of the lack of action titles. The made a translation patch of Pia Carrot and I love it. I am not in too Dating sims but it was quiet enjoyable.
Just Curious how many PC-FX owners do we have on this site? Please raise your hand.

Re: PC-FX questions
Pia Carrot got a translation? What other games on the PC-FX either got translations, or are import-friendly [they can be played without a thorough knowledge of Japanese]? Also, can PC-FX's play backups without modification?

Go here if you want to know how much japanese knowledge you need to know for each game.lisalover1 wrote:Pia Carrot got a translation? This is where I get PC-FX roms. Make sure you also download cue sheet 1 and 2 .zip. If you can burn neo-geo cd games you can burn pc-fx games. Its like sega cd games but don't need the long cue sheets. Put the image and cue sheet in the same folder then burn the cue. I use nero

Pia Carrot is the only Translated game I know of. Here's is the website that translated the game.

Re: PC-FX questions
I just ordered a PC-FX and a handful of titles. Innocent Team, Welcome to Pia Carrot (for the translation - definitely the only translated PC-FX title yet; Innocent Team would be a good second pick), Battle Heat, Chip Chan Kick, and the unfortunately expensive Kishin Doji Zenki: Vajura Fight.
I'm most looking forward to Zenki (thus why I ponied up the cash - it's definitely the rarest and most expensive game I've ever bought). I was most hesitant on Innocent Team, since there is a lot of dialogue, but the videos I saw seemed intriguing and apparently it's playable. The only other games I'd be willing to buy without translations or learning Japanese (I'm learning French and Spanish, so doubtful Japanese will enter the repertoire any time soon) are Super God Trooper (can't find it for a decent price) and maybe Tengai Makyo Karakuri Kakutoden (super expensive, so I guess it depends on how much I like Battle Heat).
