Was there a black Wave Bird?

Post by noiseredux »

I'm thinking I want a Wave Bird. But my GC and GBPlayer are black, so it'd be nice to get a matching one if possible.

Well, Wave Birds are hard to find anyway. I have a black Pelican brand... which turns out is BETTER than Gamestop brand but still has a shitty analog stick and D-pad. Oh well.

thank you for answering the question that I asked. :) If I'm going to spend the $ on a wireless to use as my main controller, it seems that the Wavebird is the way to go rather than a 3rd party.

when i had a gamecube it was black and i had a grey wave bird. it didnt bother me that they didnt match. the only thing that bothered me is that the wave bird doesnt have a rumble feature. it is really lightweight tho

the matching isn't a deal-breaker or anything. But if I had the option, I'd get a matching one.

You could always get one and mod it?

nah, it doesn't matter enough. If it matches then cool. If not, fine.

Bought two of these so my daughter can leave my Wavebird alone and I have been enjoying them ever since. For the price and rumble it's totally worth it. Only two little things, it uses 3 AAA and the RF unit is wider then the Wavebirds so on the Wii it's a very tight fit.

But I play Gamecube games on my Gamecube so no problems what so ever. I also bought the silver ones but now that I see they have white ones I just put bought another two to match my Wii ...

Grey and black looks nice, but stay away from the platinum WaveBird, that thing's an eyesore.
