What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I love this movie. I watch it at least once a year.

The image isn't showing up.

I suggest replacing the image url with this one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... tising.jpg

And for those who didn't know, jp1 is talking about How to Get Ahead in Advertising, which I have never seen.

And in the future, images from Imp Awards never seem to work out when you hotlink them. But images from Wikipedia always work.

I just watched To Live and Die in L.A. It's a film about a secret service agent trying to take down a counterfeiter, to the point he's willing to break the law to get his way regardless of the consequences. I thought it was really good, with some great shots of Los Angeles in there. And the ending absolutely caught me off guard. Good stuff.

Well hype sometimes is warranted. District 9 is hardly overrated IMHO, for instance. Some of my favourite critics did praise PA, but they also thought Juno was the best thing since the Godfather (kinda). :x

Just watched "Adventureland."

The best thing about this movie was Ryan Reynolds. He plays a pretty good smooth creep. This film got really good reviews, but ultimately it was just a boring story. It is pretty hilarious, though, that all of the characters in this film are supposed to be in college or graduated, yet they were far more influenced by their parents than most high schoolers in modern movies.

Also, while watching it, Hobie-won pulled even further ahead in Seven0Seven's "Name that Game" contest.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2004 (Film Fest. Ver.) 2005 (Theatrical))

Just saw this on cable yesterday and forgot to mention it.

This films smart and witty plot along with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer makes it one of the most well put together movies I've ever seen and hold up very well to my other overlooked dark comedy/drama favorites such as Matchstick Men.

Role Models: I gave up a bit after the kids were introduced. Racism and dehumanizing larpers. I just couldn't stand it. (It wasn't funny either)

The Informant!: YES!! This movie was not funny by any means, but was certainly a lot of fun to watch. It was clever, well directed, and the characters were portrayed as real people. As far as the main character is concerned, I started out apathetic, and then as he got more and more stupid, I grew to dislike him. The two best parts: THE MUSIC!? WTF? and his constantly growing amount of stolen money :P

I saw this before, but really didn't like it very much  My favorite part was probably when they broke the fourth wall with the VHS of the movie...
