The problem with ebay is that it's impossible to get a deal. You might luck out with a bundle of game + console + accessories, but then you're usually stuck with another console that you don't need. The only benefit is that it's national and if you really want a game and can't find it anywhere, ebay will usually have it.

Craigslist is good because you can get a local deal, avoid ebay/paypal fees and try things before you buy them. Unfortunately, there are some shady people that scour Craigslist.

Flea Market's are hit or miss to me. I've yet to find a good one near me that has a good selection of games. Usually there is only one guy there selling games and his stuff is really over priced ($15 for Super Mario World cart only?, no thanks).

Thrift stores and Goodwill are something I'm starting to pay a little more attention to. I'm going to check out these types of places a little more often as I keep hearing people on these boards coming away with amazing scores.

Most of my great deals have been Craigslist. Most of my decent price fills have been on ebay as long as I'm patient and stick to bidding a price that's not too high. Took me a year to get Contra at a price I wanted to pay since it is actually a common game as opposed to the way everyone tries to sell it. Sadly the flea markets here seem to mostly suck.

I'm lucky to find any garage sales, much less a flea market. I've been ripped off more than a couple times by Craigslist, but Ebay's prices are much higher than the other two options, but still much less than used game stores.
