I know, I was just giving you a hardtime for stating that all CRT repairs should be under $100. I have another recently inspected TV, a Magnavox 32 inch whos model number elludes me, but it is a tv through and through. When my house got struck with lighting last year it stopped turning on. It cost us $300 to get it fixed (though that was covered by insurance) - the electron gun had to be replaced. Now I know you would think to just go buy a new tv for that much, but finding a 32inch CRT tv new and locally is damn near impossible. Brandsmart only carries 27inch daewoos...

I also hate not being able to find a good CRT new anymore. Maybe someday we'll see a small niche company that re-releases old tech such as CRT's in small runs every year, but until then I'll cling ti my Samsung and JVC sets.
