Well...I thank you guys for all the kind words, and apparently I am on here tonight so I wont be playing tonight. BUT!...hopefully I will stat beating games again and talking more about that vs what I am selling abd buying...I love trading and what not...BUT, I would rather play them not sell um

Truthfully, I sometimes think MrPopo can only sleep at night after reading one of your rants. He wanders around here all bleary-eyed, screaming "I need an LoD rant! Where's my LoD rant?!?!" It's like a crack addict that can't get his medicine.

I have also felt the same with retro gaming. I find that lately I spend more time on forums collecting games and less time playing them. I am cutting down on buying as many to catch up on all the games I have yet to play or finish.

I did some thinking, ran across a few games I REALLY want to play and beat...so tonight may have all played out perfect...now...just need to find a cdx and I am good to go

I do remember you from when I first joined and when I lurked for a while before that. To be honest, I've always wanted to ask you what the hell was up with your avi picture. To me it kinda looks like you're enjoying a raspberry lemonade in front of a dolphin print shower curtain right after getting a bad haircut.... but maybe it's just me.

Just stay clear of the B/S/T forum or other places where you do your trading/selling/buying and you'll probably fight some of the urge to go overboard with collecting. I know there are times when I need to practice restraint as well...

That said, I have found that the other forums on the site give me more incentive to play through games and discuss them while I do. If it hadn't been for frequenting the forums I probably wouldn't have played through games like Shadow of the Colossus, Panzer Dragoon, a huge number of shmups, and other games as well. It is all about balancing time in the retro community with time to play.

And don't worry - I don't think accounts get deleted for inactivity...certainly not one with a high post count.

I don't think any kind of pruning (of topics or whatever) goes one, I think the only time we have lost topics or users is due to server failure and a backup has had to be used. That's a rarity though.

Yeah once I find the console I am looking for I plan on staying out of the BST for awhile, atleast until I beat these 3 main games. After that maybe I will start again. But I appreciate the advice from everyone..honestly its made me feel more...at ease, I suspose.

I'm sort of in a similiar situation, not that anyone would care if I took a hiatus from the site since I really don't post that much, but I was cruising along finishing my basement and some other work in the house. Had all my collection packed away, waiting to get out, but still have the Wii and 360 hooked up in the living room though. Well, I find this place, learn about some games I haven't heard of, locate the B/S/T forum and I started buying stuff up. Stopping at local game stores while visiting customers and spending my basement money on more games and more games. So, I decided to ban myself from the B/S/T forum(although I was just in there, but no one sell me anything!) till the basement got done and went through the collection and sold off stuff I just wasn't going to play. Got some cash and have been hanging drywall the last couple nights.
