My understanding was that it wasn't so much downloadable content as it was a downloadable flag to unlock content already on the game disk but not used except for those who downloaded the flag.

Man, we've come a long way. Now you get to pay for several downloadable flags to unlock content already on the game disk *coughstreetfighterivcough*.

Bringing this post back to life, I was playing SoA today and found something peculiar beneath the clouds around the Pirates Grave discovery. It looks to be a large construction site, but when I approach nothing happens. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Hmmm, I just started playing the game myself! Loving it so far.
Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...

Screw saving up for the BBA! Download and burn the VMU Backup CD (v1.3.0 and NOT the source code) - link. Using this you can download game saves (including all the official DLC as far as I know) directly to a VMU. The text is a little hard to read, so I usually use this list to assist me - link. Hell, it's even loaded up with those little VMU minigames!

You'll need a good few memory cards if you want it all though, as some of that Sonic Adventure and Chu Chu Rocket data is HUGE. Make sure you get the region right too. A comprehensive (as far as I know) list of games with DLC and the explanations of how to access it can be found here - link.

Skies of Arcadia rules. I bought the Gamecube version awhile back and as far as I know it has the DLC added on.

equalsign- hmmm. Do you know if it is possible to do that with the Phantasy Star Online DLC/online quests? I have wanted to play those quests but I lack the ability/resources to get my Dreamcast online.

I have the PAL version of Skies of Arcadia for my DC, did anyone figure out a way of getting it to play with the VGA adaptor? None of the usual tricks work, all I get is audio. I'd love to be able to play this game but cos of the stupid pal version not supporting VGA I can't play it at all since I don't have an RGB cable for my DC :(

If I had the game I'd check for you, but to me at least it looks like you should be able to (at least with the Episode 1 quests). If I understand correctly, you should only need the files in order to play them and the disc does contain them. You MAY have to change the language settings of you game to Japanese for all but the "Letter from Lionel Quest," as I can't tell what region the files on the disc are from and Online Consoles seems to think it matters (I'm sure if USA files were on this disc they'd have them already). The instructions that site provides are as follows -

Instructions:
1. Download all of the files for the desired quest to the vmu where your pso save exists, or to another vmu and put in the vmu when you get to the hunter's guild.
2. To play the quest's, set your pso disc to the language option that matches the quest.
3. Go to the counter at the hunter's guild and select 'Download Quest'. The game will auto search for the files and the quest will load.

Hope you can work it out!
