Unless I missed something that wont be happening, even if it did Rare wont be making it, thus it will suck.
Based on where they went with Donkey Kong 64, even if rare did make it, it would suck.

Yeah, no fair.

I also like the look of the original better. Does this game have to be remade? It was pretty much perfect the way it was on the Genesis. I even prefer it over EWJ2 on the Saturn.
Oh no you don't, EWJ on the Sega CD... now that's the end all be all EWJ.

Man the soundtrack alone was damn near amazing. I remember in Jr. Highschool actually carrying that around with me in my CD book and listening to it when the teacher wasn't looking. "Snot a Problem" track was the best!

That and the "You're the BEST" skit at the end is freakin' hilarious.

If they're remaking this game, they best be remaking the SCD version with that soundtrack and level design. So much freakin' better!

Truthfully, the farthest I ever got in Earthworm Jim was to Snot a Problem. I never quite got the hang of it, so I'd get my butt kicked every time. Still, after a while, I just started paying attention to the music, and suddenly I didn't care that I was dying repeatedly, because that track just kicked that much ass.

Tommy Tallarico is an impressive composer indeed. If you liked the EWJ music be sure to check out the Anthology album released a few years ago.

EWJ on the Sega CD is superior (the beginning credits are sooooo good), but I've never owned it. I need to get a copy someday soon. I'm fairly certain that the game is going to be based on the Genesis version though.

Yeah, the soundtrack is unforgettable. EWJ is one of those great Sunday morning games for me that I can pick up and play through in less than an hour, and remains fun after all these years.

The music will be redone. Which is pointless since it was fine to begin with.

Looks neat although it would've been nice if they used the SNES's better looking backgrounds with their neat scrolling effects but still keep the original Genesis gameplay and wider field of view.

They should include all the Sega CD remixed levels and not just add Big Bruty. New Junk City on the Sega CD version was especially good with the added nude Jim sequence which was quite fun. Although most of the other levels unfortunately weren't redesigned as much as that first level. It makes me wish they had done full-on redesigns for all the other levels.

If I remember correctly, EWJ on Sega CD used old classic music for it's soundtrack. I also thought it sounded really nice but it might have been better if the developers created their own soundtrack. I got the feeling they wanted to save money by using old copyright free music instead of actually coming up with something themselves. Sorta like Parodius but at least they remixed the music to sound fresh and somewhat unique.

*edit* Hmm, now I'm confused. I was talking about Earthworm Jim 2 on Sega CD but it looks like the original game may have also come out for Sega CD. I had no idea that came out. Now I really want to hear what you guys are talking about.
