A sad day for hip hop.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

no, you need to know what to look for. forget about whats played on the TV. Some of the BEST hiphop in the world is around now:

Immortal technique
Jedi Mind Tricks
Snow Goons
DJ Muggs (Vs whoever)
eyedea and abilities
atmosphere (ant and slug)
Brother Ali
Outerspace
Mac Lethal
Necro (as a producer)
Sabac
Ill Bill
Goretex
MF Doom
DJ Shadow
DJ Krush
(or anything on the Def Juxx or Anticon Labels)

then australian hiphop - Dowsyde, Clandestien, Drapht and the rest of the SBX crew.
UK HIphop - jehst, Roots Manuva etc
French hiphop - IAM, Shurik'n, etc

these are VERY few of some of the most amazing artists right now in HIphop. the trick is to stick to the best labels and producers - labels like def jux, anticon, babygrande etc and producers like muggs, ant, stoupe the enemy of mankind, abilities, necro etc etc you will be fine.

wu are terrible now so dont bother - and stick with the underground stuff and not the maintreme.

Roc Raider was one of the greats of turntablism that introduced to the world what was possible with two turntables and a fader. I didn't even hear about the news until today. He will be missed.

Roc Raida sustained a spinal injury as the result of a mixed martial arts accident, and died due to complications after surgery.

no car involved.

Thank you good sir. I don't watch TV ever. The only reason I have a Television is to play games I can't hook up to my moniter and the only current music I hear is the garbage that I'm forced to listen to over the radio at work, or the obnoxious ganstur children that blast their shitty rap/"hip hop?" music through their earbuds. I only ever listen to what people suggest to me because I'm not committed enough to researching stuff up on my own untill someone's shown me something I fall in love with.
