Re: NEW - My game room

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Crux - I have another room upstairs with a crt TV for the older consoles with light guns. I love me some light gun games every once in a while.

Mr. James - the consoles are not all connected. There is a media box in the ground under the ottoman with every type of media cable available (hdmi, svideo etc...) so you can simply grab the console and hook it up easily right by where you are sitting. This avoids problems with older consoles with wired controllers. (I ran piping in the ground for the media wiring before they poured the foundation when I built the house)

My new gameroom is near completion, I will post pics when its 100%. Sega fanatics wont like it as much, it has a little more theme than the my last gameroom.

Cheers, m_c

I simply LOVE that idea and will definitely use it myself in the future. Do you have an RF hook-up in your media box as well?

I don't mod anything. I like all my game consoles and games unmolested.

Thats a molestation I can get behind...

Actually the RCA out on a 7800 is something I should probably do.

Well, here are some pics of my new gameroom. Not 100% yet, I will post the rest of the room when it is complete. A couple months to go.

Clever, I like it. Though the Donkey Kong theme is only off because it is missing a Donkey Kong cabinet.

That's pretty cool with the NES games and Donkey Kong mural surrounding the tv.

What is on the crown molding? it's hard to see from that pic, but it must be something unique to take a picture of it.

You doing a media plug in the floor or someplace else like with the last room? I was thinking about doing something similiar through the walls in my basement.

You putting a bar in this one as well?
