Really? King of Fighters XII is definitely the most balanced fighting game I have played this gen, if not ever. My main is Clark Still. He is considered absolute bottom tier, and yet I STILL rock the house with him, sometimes only using Clark and never any of my other characters.

Of course, uneven lag online prevents this, but in face-to-face encounters, I'm a beast. While there are tiers in KOFXII, they are so close together, it practically makes no difference.

Aside from that, there is apparently Virtua Fighter 5 and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus. VF5 has too steep of a learning curve for me, and I've avoided the GGXX series for the same reason I avoided the SF2 series back in the day and am considering avoiding the SF4 series now.

Too many minor updates being sold for full price. Just like Street Fighter II.

GGXX and SF2 were awesome, I'll admit. Loved them both very much. However, I didn't feel like paying another $50 for the same game with a few of the dipswitches flipped.

Regardless of the fact that I feel like Capcom's whore, I'll be buying this.

Flame away, but my addiction to Street Fighter spans all the way back to World Warrior's arcade release.

At last count I've bought twenty five different Street Fighter related games across different consoles, and put countless dollars into the arcades. That won't stop any time soon.

yeah I guess I overlooked those games. VF5 is one of my favorite fighters ever and is very well balanced. However even in that game Jacky was/is top tier. When I played VF5 in japanese arcades EVERYONE picked Jacky and only him.

KOF12 seems so cool. I own it, played the arcade here in town months before console was out. I can't find any type of local community to play with!!! They screwed up the console feature set so badly it sucks. Online with lobbies would have drawn me in and possibly removed some of my Street Fighter lust. Too bad, I agree it is a great game based on the small time I've spent on playing it against people.

We really don't know anything other than it is coming out and who several of the characters are. A bit early to judge it value I would think?

A bit too early to judge? Maybe.

However, I am of the minority that stopped playing Street Fighter IV after about one week of play. And this was while I was still waiting for BlazBlue and King of Fighters XII to come out. I played Soul Calibur IV more than I did Street Fighter IV, and that game was an abomination.

So, yeah - they'd have to make some huge changes for me to get interested in SSF4, considering it will probably only be minor changes to a game I quickly hung up on.

I didn't enjoy Street Fighter Alpha, but I did enjoy Street Fighter Alpha 2. However, I don't expect the update to be that massive. I expect it to be as if stepping from Street Fighter II to Street Fighter II Turbo. If you didn't enjoy the first, you very likely won't enjoy the second.

I am excited, my predictions on the game that it would include classic stages, I am pretty sure there is going to be 4 returning characters, and 4 new characters. Since 3 characters are announced and the rumored 4th character named "Hakan", One thing hope they include SFIII characters, some of them made cameo appearances like Yun/Yang, they are pretty much most likely to appear, my 4th returning character prediction will be Ibuki mainly because Capcom are taking fan suggestions and Ibuki is the highest requested SFIII character. I would not be surprised if they decided to but Guy in the game...but thats just me, I want Guy in the game.

Accent Core is the pinnacle of the GGXX series for balance. Core Plus adds in two characters that are just broken.

Newsflash: you don't have to use characters you don't like.

Incredible, I know.
