- The graphics are "optimized for each platform", so WiiWare fans won't be losing anything but a bit of resolution. found this line funny for some reason

I think I like the pixelated art better. Is anyone working on a full-fledged EWJ sequel as David Perry once promised?
The characters look good, but some things look like they were done by an airbrush noob. That log for instance. It is all soft and smooth with not enough contrast. It needs hard edges for the bark and the knot hole.
I assume that's not what the final version will look like. if it does... I'm still buying it but will be slightly disappointed. But yeah they should have just made a sequel rather than a remake. Speaking of which, I want Donkey Kong Country 4!

Yeah, no fair.
I also like the look of the original better. Does this game have to be remade? It was pretty much perfect the way it was on the Genesis. I even prefer it over EWJ2 on the Saturn.
The game is really good, so if it gets the devs some more money I'm all for this. The old graphics aged rather gracefully, so the game itself didn't "need" this, but maybe this way exposes it to more "new" gamers than just putting the emulated version up for sale.
