Hello Nintendo fans. We don't talk much, but I thought I'd dip my toe in the Nintendo waters and ask for your assistance.

My parents were digging around the basement and uncovered a box of NES things that my grandma bought at a garage sale a few years back. I vaguely remember her telling me that she found it for $20 and I told her to pick it up and drop it at my parents house for me.

I'm wondering what the value of this box is, both in levels of rarity and price per game.

Here's the goods:
-NES system
-2 NES controllers
-NES Advantage
-Zapper gun
-Double Dragon boxed, all contents (like new)
-Metroid boxed, all contents (like new)
-Zelda boxed, all contents (like new)
-Zelda II boxed, all contents (like new)
-Mario/Track FIeld/Duck Hunt boxed, all contents (like new)
-Top Gun boxed, all contents (good)
-Pinbot boxed, all contents (like new)
-Heavy Barrel boxed, all contents (like new)
-a rock n roll themed pinball game boxed, all contents (like new)
-a few baseball games boxed, all contents (like new)
-Caveman Games boxed, all contents (like new)

Thanks!

I'd say your Grandma got ripped off. I'd be more than willing to take all of that off of your hands for the $20 just to save you the hassle.

That's a good find, man. The Zelda and Metroid games would likely get you in the $30-$50 range, I'd think.

Hell the NES itself is worth well over 30. I paid 29 for mine and got a controller and a NES Advantage with all the cords and stuff. (which I don't use)

Aw man, that sucks Cassidy... I guess I'll dump the stuff in the river.

Nah, jk  Awesome to hear Zelda and Metroid go for so much! I assumed, like popular Genesis games, that everybody wouldv'e owned Zelda and Metroid causing the price to be lower. I guess the paper boxes just weren't as "keepable" as the plastic ones back in the day. Awesome that it looks to be a $150 value! I'll have to tell grandma, she'll be so pleased.
She also found some arcade marquees from my uncle's collection (he passed away a few years ago and was in the arcade business): Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus

Btw, Heavy Barrel rocks.

If the games are boxed and the system actually works, I'll guess its worth an easy $100 at least.

Question:

Is the Metroid the original box with the pixellated cover, or the greatest hits release with the yellow cover and the detailed picture of samus on it?

Also, is the Legend of Zelda a greatest hits release?

These will affect the value, but both should still be worth something decent if CIB.

Regardless, as others have said, this was a good deal

Metroid box is the pixel cover, Zelda has no mention of "greatest hits" so I'm assuming it's the original.
