I felt the same way about the GB Micro until I actually held one. Once I tried the GBM, I was sold on it. My hand still cramped up on it but only if I play more than a couple of hours in a session.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Build quality aside it's gotta be a cramping and badly designed unit from an ergonomics standpoint and the look of it.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Yeah. I feel its much better built than any other PSP that's been put out. Feels rock solid.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Cool, he's damn lucky they didn't catch him breaking street date or let him bring it home!

There is no way I will buy the PSPGo but I may take advantage of all the people who will be selling their old 2000 and 3000 models and finally buy a PSP of my own. Like Mod Man said, I like to own my games.

the Go really has me thinking, how hard would it have been to include a UMD drive but still manage to reduce the form of the PSP and include a sliding screen.
it makes me wonder, will they release a Go sized (or close) psp with a UMD when this one fails?
the only thing that the Go sells me on is its size factor. because i take my PSP EVERYWHERE! work, restuarants, family outings. the PSP-3000 is slim, but the small size of the Go really attracts me, because i need pocket space.

You don't get it. The main reason Sony made the PSPGo is to remove the UMD drive. Sony will make more money and have more control when games are download only. Money > everything else.IcKy99 wrote:the Go really has me thinking, how hard would it have been to include a UMD drive but still manage to reduce the form of the PSP and include a sliding screen.

Not when nobody buys it due to the download only nature of it and the fact that it's priced ridiculously high for a portable system. It costs more than an ipod touch in this country. I can see the media conscious casual gamer is gonna side with the touch over this one. The reason I say casual gamer is because the hardcore gamers are already shunning this thing and it's not even out yet, the only hope Sony has is for the casual market, but with them marketing it as a multimedia device rather than a gaming machine they're gonna face some stiff competition to the market leader, Apple.Inazuma wrote:You don't get it. Oh boo hoo... The RRP in this country is £225... The fucking PS3 Slim is overpriced at £250. NOBODY, and I mean seriously, nobody will buy this thing. I will be stunned and shocked if they manage to sell a million.Xonticus wrote:Plus they have this incentive program for registering your old psp and getting like 3 free games, but get this, its only in Europe. USA cats get nothing, not even a damned carry puch/protective sleeve for our new 250$ paperweight.

Older. Not wiser.

I really hope nobody buys it and it fails miserably. I just don't have as much faith in people as you do.Niode wrote:Not when nobody buys it due to the download only nature of it and the fact that it's priced ridiculously high for a portable system.
