Where I live, every Pizza Hut had Neo Geo cabinets, and considering there were about 4 Pizza Huts, that was a lot of exposure. We even had some really classy restaurants that had Neo Geo cabs.

Certainly, Street Fighter II got plenty of exposure in actual arcades. However, after SF2 got rehashed over and over again, people stopped playing there. I actually remember several times when there was a large group gathered around the Neo Geo machine at a Pizza Hut, playing Fatal Fury 2.

It has 8 new characters, gameplay tweaks, most likely new levels, also if you own the original theres a special treat available. Plus the fact its at a budget price. Count me in for buying it at release in the spring. I don't see the why people around the net are so up and arms about this. I bought SFIV on sale for $20.00 new, so maybe it doesn't hurt me as bad as someone who bought it at full price.

$80 for a collectors edition with an awfully dubbed movie, a crappy action figure and a soundtrack cd.....yeah it hurts.

But once Samurai Showdown II hit at the Red Bone Alley, Holy Shit. It felt like Street Fighter II was new again. The characters were colorful, innovative and just plain cool. Plus, all the blood and fatalities really helped draw attention away from the Mortal Kombat crowd.

That arcade also had Battletoads/Double Dragon. Now all it has are a bunch of pool tables and a "Deal or No Deal" machine. Sigh.
Man, I tried to pick up Samurai Shodown Anthology for PS2 and I couldn't find anywhere. That game got scarce with the quickness. Samurai Shodown is a awesome series though, its a shame it didn't get the attention it deserved.

Don't know if anyone else shares this perspective, but I played the crap out of SFIV for a few days and to tell you the truth I'm not really sure how much longer I can play the same game. When SFII was around obviously it was so hot I played it all the time, but how many times can you play it unless you're the type that likes to master 10-12 fighters? If you just stick to the guys you like it's really redundant. I've gotten more enjoyment out of offshoots like Capcom vs. SNK and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 than I did SFIV. To me it was just more of the same at the end of the day.

Not to sound like a dick, but if you knew what you were getting was crap why did you pay $80.00 for it? Why not settle for just the game? Those collector editions of games are a ripoff and known to suck anyways.

Well, A) He probably wasn't anticipating it would be crap and B) Collector's Editions keep value. He could probably sell his Collector's Edition right now and have it sell for a lot closer to what he paid for it than I would if I sold my $60 copy.

The problem was I didn't. I had that game pre-ordered nearly a year before it's release and was expecting the action figure to be larger and the movie to be much better, but what can you do right?

Its pretty well known that most collectors editions suck and are a ripoff. Collectors and Limited Editions suck and are only there for companies to see how much people are willing pay for a game. I feel your pain Modman, I bought a few LE of games that left me sorely disapointed. Atlus is the only company that has good collectors editions and the best part.....is the reasonable price point. Most of there games are collectors editions at no extra cost as long as you preorder it.

True, but I'm a Street Fighter junkie so I took the risk on it, at least I got a few laughs from the movie and the soundtrack wasn't that bad but the game could have been better.
