yeah the GB Player sort of defeats the purpose of making a GBA console. BUT some others would be cool... Game Gear, Lynx, PSP, etc.

Also, in my vision the handhelds would be housed in a new case that would resemble a console (IE: A Game Gear console would look something like a SMS).

I know, I know, but he did the hardpart there. A Game Gear console would be neat.

yeah, you're right. He did the hardpart. From there it would just be a matter of situation everything into a new housing.

That reminds me that you can play Master System games on the Game Gear with the Master Convertor. I wonder if the oposite could be done. Is there an adapter that lets you play Gamegear on the SMS. If not is it possible?

I favor a Neogeo Pocket console.

GG games have more colors than SMS. I swear there was something else slightly different as well.

I looked into the GG to SMS quite heavily a while back. Some guys have converted roms, but hardware wise it is impossible. Once I get back home Ill post the links to those guys works.

Update - I love being proved wrong on things like this:
There is however an option for TV out from the Game Gear (albeit Monochrome):

I'd love to see one of these converted into a Game Gear TV console:

Gut the case, toss in all the Game Gear innards, GG cart would pop in where the Genesis logo is, controls would be routed to the controller.

I have no clue it that's possible though.

Edit: Something like this:

People have hacked cart plugs so you can play Genesis games on those sort of things. You might be able to cram a GG in there, but you'd have to chop the PCB in half and rewire it together.

Well, there are the PSP slims with TV out. I just use that.

I just wish there was a better way to use controllers on it, RemoteJoy is too crash-happy
