Watched "Cthulhu" two nights ago. Good, but might not be as good more than once.

Watched "The Card Player" last night. Pretty good, but sadly not Argento's best.

Was that the silent film that came out a few years ago? I recall watching it about a year and a half ago. Seemed pretty enjoyable to me.

I've seen a couple of movies in the last few days. I saw Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, and Rush Hour.

No, but I've seen the silent one.

The one I saw came out in '07. Here's the Wikipedia page, which contains spoilers.

And I have the silent one on my Netflix queue (moved it to #1, so I'll get it and three others after I send back the ones I have now).

Ah, gotcha. I think you'll like the silent film. I'll have to check this one out. If it's as good as Dagon was, then I'll enjoy it.

Last night was movie night with my Girlfriend, so I ended up watching Caprica and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She's a few years younger than me and doesn't remember most of the good 80's comedies, so I've been subjecting her to all the classics over the past couple of weeks. We watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off last week and Spies Like Us. I'm getting tired of her never knowing what the hell I'm talking about when I use movie references.

I did enjoy it (I've seen it a few years ago). And I've never seen Dagon, but I can tell you this... if you want to check it out, try to do so without paying for a copy (rent it, borrow it, put it in your Netflix queue, whatever). Basically, I thought it was good, but slow, and definitely not worth paying full price for a DVD.

And anyone else wanna see that movie adaptation of "Where the Wild Things Are"? Every time I see the trailer, I get a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. AND THE WILD THINGS AREN'T CGI!!!!!

Trick R Treat

and

I Love you Beth Cooper

Trick R Treat was really good. Maybe even great. Not predictable at all and destined to be a cult classic one day. Perfect movie for Halloween. If you can watch this movie and not be entertained something is wrong. Must see if you are a true horror fan. If you only like crap like Hostel and other torture porn, don't bother. :D

I Love You Beth Cooper was pretty good too. A nice throwback to older movies like "License to Drive". It isn't a perfect movie but it was a good Saturday night at the house flick. I know I'll catch hell for this one..but if you haven't seen it at least give it a chance.

Uh-Oh, big disagreement. Watched Trick R Treat last night, and I was really disappointed. At least to me, it is obvious why this movie went straight to dvd, it's just way to goofy to be a horror movie, and not funny enough too be a comedy. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Better than the Friday the 13th remake, but no where near as good as Drag Me To Hell.
(No I don't like Hostel)
