Not perfect, but a really great job none the less. Good job man, nice Dreamcast.

It's really funny you should say that, because we actually refer to the color as "keylime pie yogurt green".otaku wrote:Looks like a quality job and the color is nice and cool makes me think of keylime pie yummy!
Yeah I was just noticing that, the funny thing is that we did paint it piece by piece. I guess we just missed those spots somehow. Maybe we'll go back and fill em in.Pookie wrote:It looks great, I actually love the avocado color!
But, you should have taken the case apart, I can still see some gray in the panel lines/case division/vents.
Still looks awesome though!
My friend actually stuck a piece of scotch tape on there and very, very precisely used an x-acto knife to cut around the logo. Admittedly it looks a little rough up-close, but it gets the job done.Ziggy587 wrote:How did you keep the Sega logo above the controller ports? Thanks so much for all the compliments guys!

Looks good enough! The top of my Dreamcast yellowed from being in direct sunlight. If I can't clean it, I'm gonna spray it (original color) so that's why I was wondering. I don't want to lose that Sega logo!

Yellowing is common, Make sure you clean the console VERY VERY well first, a dab of bleach will sometimes remove yellowing, but if you try to paint over it it kinda mixes with your paint and makes a Puke color.Ziggy587 wrote:Looks good enough! Bleach is going to damage the plastic and weaken it though.

Re: Dreamcast Paintjob
I'll apply what I already did to my yellowed SNES to my Dreamcast, should work out just fine...
