Welcome to the 30+ club where you only are old if you act it and people begin to call you "Sir" instead of "Hey You."

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday! I'll be there in a couple years from now (Im 28.) Your 30 in Japan reminds me of my 21st birthday in Japan which also happened to be my first time visiting Japan. Nothing better than getting your birthday on in Japan!

Too bad you're arriving on Monday. You totally miss TGS. But you're going to Japan. Woo!

Happy Birthday man, turned 30 myself in May. It's not bad at all, but I'm still lucky enough to have a thick head of hair.

Hey man, happy birthday. 30 is the new 15, as far as I can tell, so don't sweat it! If that's not enough encouragement, my brother wrote a blog on why turning 30 was much better than turning 20 (for him, anyway). http://incrementalism.net/personal/thirty-vs-twenty

I'm inclined to agree with him. 20 wasn't so great.

Haha, that's pretty much how I feel. I've got a great (hot) wife, a job and co-workers I like with decent pay, I'm established in the community, know who I am and who I want to be. None of that was true at 20 and most not even at 25. To put it in perspective for a gaming forum, I have a 360 and PS3 and am thinking about getting a Wii just for the hell of it, even though there's only 2-3 games I want to play, just so I can say I own all the currently active consoles for once in my life.

About TGS - I didn't even realize the timing was so close, or I might have tried to push the trip up a few days.

I just did this for the first time too, though the 360 was my last. I fell like king of the current-gen!

Congratulations. Always be glad you're getting older, because there's only one other alternative: Being dead.
