http://www.stfj.net/art/2009/loselose/Lose/Lose is a video-game with real life consequences. Each alien in the game is created based on a random file on the players computer. If the player kills the alien, the file it is based on is deleted. If the players ship is destroyed, the application itself is deleted.

That's... really weird. Seems like the program has extremely limited use.
However, if I was on virtual pc or clearing out old files on a computer... hm...

I remember once hearing about an early game, I think it was called Stunt Flyer. The game wasn't put together too well, so when you crashed the plane it would crash your computer. Or maybe that was intentional. It's been ages since I read about it; it was back in a retrospective around the time Myst came out.

Re: lose/lose
My friend had a version 1.0000 whatever disc of Half Life back in the day. I borrowed it to install for a lan party I was headed to in the early days of XP. Patched it up had a fun time shooting people. Came home and went to uninstall. The v1 uninstaller screwed up and didn't just delete the HL folder, it deleted the directory above it. So bye bye went my games directory. Thankfully I at least had them separate from other programs, but I still lost a bunch of same games.

Awesome. Now all I need is a fighting game that'll hit me whenever my player gets hit.

Well, this is for FPS games, but I'm sure it could be adapted to fighters since they show it with a racing game too.dedalusdedalus wrote:Awesome. Now all I need is a fighting game that'll hit me whenever my player gets hit.

I think you just found a way to make a fighting game three players. Marvel vs Capcom vs Player 3!dedalusdedalus wrote:Awesome. Now all I need is a fighting game that'll hit me whenever my player gets hit.
