That's "Kevin Smith" to the rest of us who pay attention.

"hell hath no fury like a woman scorned for sega" - brodie from mallrats (after getting dumped while playing hockey on the genesis

while it may not be an academy award winner, mallrats is my favorite movie :D

In Ninja Turtles, one of the arcade games a kid is playing at the Foot Clan's hideout is N.A.R.C. He's fighting the last boss... Mr. Big I think.

...Heh, now thats an after-school program I could've gotten into. :D

I think the Foot Clan needs to move out here to Santa Fe... There's no arcades, theres no ninjas... What are people supposed to do in this town?

Any of you guys gonna see that movie Stay Alive? It looks really stupid and will most likely feature several instances of people mashing buttons trying to look like they're playing.

In a Futurama episode (Anthology of Interest II), Fry asks what life would be like if it was mroe like a video games. Cameos included Mario, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Q-Bert, Mr. and Ms. Pac-Man.

"Invaders! Possibly from space!"

"Oh my god, [Zoidberg] ate Fry!"
"It's okay, I had another guy!"

Not sure where else to post this but...

...what about videogame cameos in DREAMS!

Last night I had a dream that I was Solid Snake! It was cool. Funny stuff...that is until later in the day, during the bus ride home, the more serious meaning of the dream hit me.

Since I've moved to a new a town, I pretty much have become like Solid Snake. An angsty aloof loner... sneaking through hallways... beng invisible and avoiding detection... snapping people's necks while they're at the urinals... wait, I haven't done that yet.
Of course, I'm sure you all know what I mean. Like when you move to a new place and you don't know anyone... and there are Genome soldiers everywhere... and your only contact with friends comes through a mechanical device. (Friends who don't even contact you that often. You know who you are. Haha!)

It's also pretty easy to see the Liquid Snake/Solid Snake concept as representative of my own self-loathing and my never ending battle with my pyschological "twin."...the "Liqu-ID", if you will.

I'm sure theres more to it but I gotta get some sleep...

"Snake, what's happened? Snake... SNA-aaaaaaaaa-aAKE!!!!!" 8)

In Ichi The Killer, theres a scene where Ichi is playing some Tekken game. I think it's Tekken... I'm not sure because I don't play Tekken. If it is, then it's probably the closest Tekken has ever been to being cool.

In House, the main character (..House) is seen playing a GBA, a DS and a PSP when he's waiting for something.

Metroid appears to be House's series of choice, as he played Zero Mission on his GBA and Hunters on his DS.
