2600 S-video mod

Had 2 months of issues getting getting the kit and proper instructions, but its finally installed and running. I bought the kit where you had to solder the stuff to the PCB because who wants who wants to let someone else have all the fun.

Just to make things a bit more swappable in case of console failure, instead of soldering things directly to the board I recycled some plugs that probably came out of a printer or something I scavenged. The flat plug is flat because it is attached to lifted TIA pins that are sticking out at 90 degrees. The vertical and brown plugs are attached to pins added to the TIA socket since they needed to still pass through to the board. Since I had the plugs sticking out of everything, I had to cut a hole in the shielding as well.

The kit came from here.

Communication was, shall we say... lacking. There were several issues getting the kit sent to me and then the instructions had to be updated because the board in my Atari didn't match the instructions on the page. All in all, it took 2 months, minus about a week of time on me that I was too busy to work on it.
