Game you LOVE that everyone else HATES

I don't think there's a particular game I like that everyone hates but there is one game that Is undeniably awful and it's one that me and one of my friends absolutely love playing purely for how outrageously homoerotic it is. This game is Knuckle Bash. If anybody has a complete mame set they will have this game hidden in the depths. This game is undeniably awful but is just hilarious to play, especially when you get 'rewarded' for completing a stage by being shown a buff naked guy.

I don't want to sully the experience for anybody who is bold enough to search out this little gem so I'll leave it at that.

Um... I would say The Specialists, its a PC game? Half-Life 1 mod, matrix. It's way good but Action Halflife gets all the press. Don't understand. Action Halflife sucked, sry everyone.

For console. I dunno, I'm pretty regular in my console game tastes. I'm sure I can think of one though... I might say, ok, hold on... ok I don't have one. That's what Racketboy is, a site for people who love old games that no one loves anymore.

Hm, I have no idea. OH, I'm kind of a fan of the Saturn game Robotica, I have no clue why.

a lot of people seemed to dislike Blasto, and i love that game, nostalgia plays a big part in that though

I always mention this one, but I think most people hate A Nightmare On Elm Street (NES). It's pretty critically shat upon. But I love the hell out of it. The music. The gameplay. The graphics. The real-world/dream-world gimmic. The fact that it supports 4 player co-op. ANOES is easily one of my favorite games of all time.

I still like Jaws for the NES. It's nothing great, but a pleasant way to spend a rainy afternoon. Shooting, dodging, collecting, and absolutely no "where do I go now?!?". Of course, even I hate the sequence at the end when you have to strobe Jaws and ram him.

Street Fighter: The Movie (Saturn)

Everybody seems to talk shit about this game but I doubt that half have even really played the game. Because if they did they'd see that the Saturn version is miles better than the Arcade and Playstation versions, and that despite the cheesy presentation and the digitized characters (if you don't like them), the game still retains the classic Street Fighter 2 engine and controls extremely well.

Neither of those games is hated by many that I've ever heard of. Some, sure, but not even a majority.

Truth told, I'm not sure. These days I generally only buy well-received games in the majority of cases, as my collection is large enough that I don't have time to expiriment much. I'd say something like Earth Defense Force 2017 comes to mind, simply because it surprises even me that it's actually entertaining, but quite a few people like it (which is why I bought it, coupled with the low price tag).

There's some older games that I have fond memories of, but most of that is due to pure nostalgia. Bart Vs. the Space Mutants comes to mind. I'm sure there are others, probably mostly on NES. (By the time the 16-bit generation came around I was better at filtering out the crap, and I was a toddler during the prime of Atari 2600 and Intellivision.)

Total Annihilation Kingdoms

It is trash, even though the expansion fixes most of the issues people have with it. But I still enjoy playing it against the computer every once and awhile.
