Re: Your backlog?
Unfortunately, I have a pack-rat mentality when it comes to video games (and most other things too) - so no, not for sale. If I won't even go through the trouble of getting rid of Revolution X for the Saturn, I sure as heck ain't gonna get rid of Chrono Cross.J T wrote:I can has?the7k wrote:Chrono Cross... Re: Your backlog?
My Backloggery is mostly console titles from (32bit to modern), with a few handheld mixed in, so far from my whole collection but it has motivated me to complete several titles. I know that eventually I will finish my legit collection, my backup/emulation and PC collections will never be completed. I mean can one truely ever complete a roguelike?

Re: Your backlog?
I've managed to cut down on buying over the last six months, and finally get around to finishing most of my games and writing or selling off ones I never plan to finish. I'm down to only 13 to beat out of 252. Honestly though, there will probably always be about ten in the queue at most times from here on out.

Re: Your backlog?
I think most of us are pretty in the same boat, since game collecting is so much fun, but games can take really much time to be consumed. I also have quite a backlog, with 75 unfinished games at its peak, but I definitely plan to achieve what ryantheslaya apparently accomplished (congratulations on this, btw!): Beat all the stuff!
I drastically toned down my buying behaviour (I only buy games when something at the bottom of my soul demands it.) and keep playing my games. Now 66 games are left to finish, it's cool to track his own progress with a site like the backloggery.
It's also cool to see how your game taste changes in favor of this goal. I now love games that are otherwise criticized as too short or too easy. I praise them for being an easy beat for my backlog

Re: Your backlog?
So I finally checked out this Backloggery site, and it seems my backlog is far larger than I had initially thought. On the one hand, it's giving me motivation to finish up the things I've forgotten about, but on the other hand, it's just too much fun to add new games to my list, and that tends to require money...

Yup, I've got a lot to finish, although some games just can't be beaten.

Re: Your backlog?
I found that after I put up nice shelving and stuck everything in UGCs I don't buy as much anymore, mostly because I have no more room on the shelves (aside from new retail titles) and no more room FOR shelves. It's really helped curtail my spending.Flashman85 wrote:So I finally checked out this Backloggery site, and it seems my backlog is far larger than I had initially thought. Re: Your backlog?
my backlog is ridiculous. and some are BIG games. im trying to do somethings to reduce this.
X360 - about 7 games - 5 sealed
PS3 - a few i havent finished
DS - about 10 or so...
Dreamcast - about 20
Saturn - about 10
NGPC - about 5
Virtual boy about 6
I also just got a 3do, sega CD and 32x
What i do now is ive made an excel spreadsheet saying "Games i want to buy" across each system.
some of these are day 1 purchase like Demon Souls, Uncharted 2 - but some i WILL end up buying whenever - ie. they are cheap. So many DS games are like that..i have them and i know they are great but i dont play them. Games like the last 2 phoenix wrights and Suikoden Tiekris or whatever..still sealed....
I try to play around 3 or less games at a time - something like star ocean on 360 is SO bad but im stiking with it.
problem is - Batman is on its way...so is demon souls and uncharted 2.
and i just started Shenmue for the first time......
i also play ALL adventure games/rpgs with guides now just to finish them. ik now its bad but i dont have time to explore u know?
