Ok. But how many good Saturn lightgun games are there really? Surely, the US Stunner is good enough for Virtua Cop and House of the Dead. Is it honestly worth going on an internet chickenhunt for a rare gun that probably won't even be used much?Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I'm just checking to be sure, I've been talking with Hashiriya1 about getting one imported in with HOTD and a few other titles and he stated that he'd had a friend's package with a lightgun returned to sender.
Anyhow, I guess I'll be OK then!
@Weekend Warrior: While the US Stunner is great, it's Japanese counterpart has a much more accurate photo-diode for more precise shooting, plus the black and yellow color scheme looks pretty cool.

Light gun games are typically really difficult, and the last thing you need is the controller holding you back. Speaking from experience, settling for less will end up driving you insane. For the enthusiast who's going to play the game a ton, limit continues, ect, it really is worth it. I'd relate it to playing Street Fighter on a pad with delay or a sticky button.
On the subject of there not being many light gun games on the system, I really can't think of any console that's had more than a half dozen light gun games worth playing. But for the collector trying to get an experience par excellence, there really is no choice but to get the best or wait it out until you can.

Re: Importing a Saturn Virtua Gun?
I bought two Virtua Cop + Gun sets at different times and neither had any problem getting to me. Black looks so much better than orange. I think I also have a couple of black Playstation Guncons as well. US customs seems to be cool with video game guns from my experience.

I personally like the gray ones that were released here, but could you drop us a pic just to see the difference?

There is a quick shot of the box. I also took a picture of the gun itself but for some reason my cell phone is having trouble sending it to my photo website so this will have to do for now.

Nice!
Although from my years of habit I seem to prefer the US version's dark gray a bit more.
