Brand new DC KB + Mouse & Typing of the Dead auctions

Post by Hobie-wan »

I am not the auctioneer, so I'm not posting this in the BST section. I've bought games from CGS before and it went smoothly. Haven't bought from EGU but hopefully it will go ok even though they're large. I just picked a KB set up tonight and my TotD auction will finish by morning. I figured some others might be interested too. Just don't bid on my ToTD, there are plenty more to go around.

Brand new Dreamcast Keyboard and Mouse $25 shipped

Sealed Typing of the Dead $11.50-12.50 shipped

*edit

The Typing of the Dead has mandatory $1.50 insurance I missed, fixed.

Just bought the game... now to decide to get two keyboards for multiplayer, or just one...

Keyboard and mouse arrived today via UPS. Keyboard is in a plain, but correctly sized box and the mouse is still sealed with only minor shelf wear. So far so good.

Holy shit, how did you know!

Yeah, same here (my keyboard and mouse also came in today). Only my mouse box is extremely nice. I'm pretty sure the Dreamcast keyboards didn't originally come in a plain box like that, so I'm not sure what the deal is. Oh well, I really don't care. Everything works great.

I bought this stuff on straight up impulse, and about $50 later I had two keyboards, a mouse, and the TotD game. THEN I found out that TotD was released on PC, and you can play multi player over LAN, and I can download it from UG. I was kinda regretting my purchases.

Long story short, since TotD didn't come in yet I tested the keyboard and mouse out with Quake III. Now I am NOT regretting the purchase, they're great accessories for the system. My only regret is not getting them sooner lol. Now I'll have to check out other DC games that support the keyboard and mouse.

I think there are at least 3 different official western keyboards. The ones we got that say seganet with a white sticker, ones that say dreamcast on white, and I swear I saw a picture of one that the dreamcast logo was in color. I'm guessing these seganet ones were part of a bundle.

The free copy of Typing of the Dead 1 on the pc has latency issues in multiplayer. Atleast it has the times Ive tried. Typing of the Dead 2 is a beast to get working multiplayer aswell.

Give Outtrigger a try with the Mouse/Keyboard, that is the only way to play that game.

Same deal for Quake III. I never played it before, so I tried it out with a Dreamcast controller first. HORRIBLE, so bad. The keyboard and mouse was a dream! I'll have to give Outtrigger a try, that one has come up on a few lists I've seen. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ah. Now that you mention that, SegaNet was the first thing I noticed when I looked at my keyboard but for some reason it didn't click that all the DC keyboards I've seen before all said "Dreamcast" on them.

Hey Hobie-wan, did you get your copy of the game yet? I didn't. Says it comes from Massachusetts, so I wonder why it still isn't here after two weeks!?

That seller also went from having how many copies for sale, to none. I'm gonna email them, you should do the same.

edit: Well I shot them off an email, hopefully they don't suck. I bought insurance so I figure I'm safe either way.
