I can't believe nobody has said it yet but:

It's like watching paint dry.... :wink:

Anyhow, the room's shaping up nicely, like the others said before it'd make a great place for some survival horror when it gets dark.

Lots of yr's instead of you're or your. It's sad when you can spell out admittedly and enthusiasm but have to shorten your.

I've been posting here for a while, its just few and far between. Gamecube was definately my favorite system last generation. I dont think of myself as a Nintendo fanboy, but Im probably a Nintendo fanboy. They just have more games I'm interested in most of the time. I cant wait to properly display my Gamecube games because in the past I've always had them half hidden in a drawer for lack of space.

@pepharytheworm

once I get the shelves in place and take pics I'll try to remember to snag a few snapshots of the roof for you. Just dont comment on the spots that have black paint on them :P. I'll eventually be doing something with the roof aswell, but that may not be for a while yet. Shelving and a few other little things are priority before the roof.

When I was 11 my bedroom at my Dad's house was a very dark color, which I liked at first, but eventually drove me nuts because at the same time the lighting was woefully insufficient. Made it a bitch to read there. But I think the black works at the moment.

I liked the Gamecube the most last generation too, despite only having a PS2 at the time.

Well this will be specifically a game room and nothing else. So there wont be much reading going on here. Im hoping the dark colors will be a benefit, but if they turn out to annoy me I can always slap some more paint on the wall.

I like it so far. Canlights and a drop ceiling will make running wires really easy (if you choose to do so).

What is your plan for seating?

Right now I've got a black framed Futon that will be used for seating. It seats 3 comfortably. I will get a new couch in the distant future, but this will have to do for now. I've got something in the works to make my futon more "gameroomy" in the meantime....

that's pretty weak moderating if you ask me. I always write "yr"... something that came from homage to my adoration of Sonic Youth. pff.

I mean there's a difference between a need to moderate (ie: thread-crapping, name-calling, etc) and just plain powertripping regarding YOUR own personal grammatical preferences.

That made me fight against the fabric of my soul to write out. Are you really wasting that much time fully spelling out a word? Really?

I can't believe that 2... I'm sorry, I mean TWO letters are bothering people so much.
