This news is a couple of months old, and it's probably a fake, but if this is real we can only pray that it eventually gets leaked onto the net.
I found some screenshots here as well:

It's all making me start to think that Sega actually have a working version of the game (or at least parts of it), but are choosing not to publish it.

Re: Shenmue 3
We need to get over the fact the Shenmue III will never be...at least in the state that it is now. We may see it re-emerge in a remake, only because the story has sat for far too long and has been forgotten by regular gamers.
Let's hope for something different like a Shenmue Anime, or movie, or....something.

I've been singing that song since the Super Mario Bros. 2 movie never materialized.weasels wrote:as much as your right.....it still hurts not to see any sight of shenmue being finished.BogusMeatFactory wrote:We need to get over the fact the Shenmue III will never be...at least in the state that it is now. Now that would have made for an amazing sequel movie (as long as it was the American Super Mario Bros. 2). Imagine Mario and Co. lost in a land of ancient ruins, being chased by giant masks, using the land as weapons and struggling to survive against a strange animalistic and totalitarian government, only to realize it was all a dream. Very film noir!
