(Off-topic - like most of my posts... Sorry...)
You guys might find it interesting that our local library has Wii games. The late fees are just short of anal rape, though.
The last book I checked out was the strategy guide to Zelda: Wind Waker.
But I don't borrow books from the library because I usually buy my books for dirt cheap at Goodwill. Recently got a 1st edition copy of A Farewell to Arms for $0.50 in nearly perfect condition.
Can I start a thread about Recent Literary Finds at Goodwill now?

Might not be a bad idea. I grabbed a nice faux-leather copy of The Time Machine for a dollar at a Goodwill, along with a few other books. There's some good stuff in there.glynnahab wrote:Can I start a thread about Recent Literary Finds at Goodwill now?

I don't like to be needlessly negative, but durrrr. That was the entire intent of the topic - choosing money over education is never a sound idea. You were acting as if the libraries were being shut down because of a lack in utility. The more people that use a free public system, such as a library, the more it costs to run those public facilities. It's all a matter of economics, not utility.Inazuma wrote:So the internet hasn't caused a big decrease in the amount of people visiting the library? In that case, they shouldn't shut them down.
Regardless, hurray for the State listening to its public. Power to the people, and all that jazz.
