I think I'd have to go with either the NES (Megaman, Mario, Zelda 1, LITTLE NEMO) or the SNES (Megaman X, Mario, LttP, Super Metroid, DKC). Geez, I might just die trying to figure out what to play.

I changed my mind about the escape thing, probably wouldn't work anyway. I think I bet the guards (like I do with my friends) that I can beat Super Mario Brothers in 10 minutes. If I do it, I get my freedom. It can't fail!
