Best Gamecube Multiplayer (3-4 player) Games

Post by rattboi »

I'm starting to do this party night once a week at the college using their projectors, and I also just recently moved in with 4(!) other people, so I'm in a good position to play some good 3-4 multiplayer games.

I don't care about genre or whatever. I just want everyone's opinion as to what are really good games for Gamecube.

Super Smash Brothers Melee. 'Nuff said.

The Mario Party games are somewhat fun. I haven't tried out Metroid Prime 2's multiplayer, but it's kind of a Quake 3 Arena-type thing.

My personal favorites:

-Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2
-Mario Kart Double Dash (you could even get 2 cubes with BBAs and get 8 players going)
-Bomberman Generation

Monkeyball 1 - Monkey Target
Ribbit King - Dont knock it itll you play it
Pacman Vs - needs 1 GBA
4 Swords/FFCC - needs 4 GBA
Phantasy Star Online I&II - Offline 4 player
FIFA 02 - the best football title since FIFA 96 on the Saturn
Ikaruga - its only 2 player but eh
Burnout 2 - again only 2 player, but it goes quick. And its flashy.

Racketboy will kill us if we don't say Pacman Vs.
Also, Soul Calibur 2 is a GREAT choice. It's only 2 players, but you can easily pass the controller. It's also fun to have mini tourneys.

And Naruto 4 is a very fun 4-player fighter, but it's japanese only, so you need a special disc. It's worth it though.
