I'm going to add two fans on the bottom area and I'm going to remove the cover on the side of the computer or take it out of the tower. The top already has a vent and the part where the tv is at is vented on both sides too. I'm saving up all my money to get the computer,I haven't bought any games in awhile because of that.
I'm kind of unsure is what kind of sideart to use,a large Capcom sticker might work or some custom art.

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom arcade project (small update Sept 16th)
I haven't done much, but I did rearranged my room to fit my Mame arcade. I had to move my drum kit and desk. The reason I had to move everything is because the arcade is huge, but the metal dance pad is really large as well. It took two days to pretty much move everything around including taking the door off the hinges to fit the arcade inside and it barely fits. Well the good thing is that I finally got a pc in put in inside, not the one I mentioned earlier, but it will work great. The computer is a barebones kit(a case, motherboard, and power supply)and was $70 with shipping! I still need to get a cpu cooler for the computer and get an ATI graphics card, but other than that I'm pretty much finished will that. My control panel is still not finished because of the computer, but it will be finished by this year. For the cooling for the arcade I'm just going to open the back for ventilation. I will update more when I get more progress on this project.

Intel btx cpu cooler (on its way)

Who makes that pad? It looks similar to a Cobalt Flux, which I used to have before I switched to playing Pump It Up.

DDR Game makes it, its a Ion series dance pad. IMO Cobalt Flux is way better than mine, but I got mine cheap anyway. I'm going to use it on Stepmania which is way better than the PS2 DDR games that have limited amount of songs.MrPopo wrote:Who makes that pad? Oh, without a doubt. You gotta go the Stepmania route. I'd be careful on the custom songs you download (not the ones that are just ripped from the games), since a large percentage of them are designed for keyboard players who play it like IIDX.

Yeah, a lot of the user songs are really hard on their. I can usually tell by when they put the difficulty on challenge mode. I don't like those really hard songs even on keyboard, I have Stepmania on my other computer and I have about 355 simfiles.

soooo, got any good pics of it working?
Re: Marvel vs. Capcom arcade project (updated Sept 16th)
I just got it working last week when I finally got all my computer parts came in, it was overheating because the motherboard was bolted the board so I spaced it 2 inches and now its working great. I got the Hyperspin frontend, but its way too confusing to setup and the theme take too long to download so I got Maximus Arcade. I prefer it because it supports almost all emulators and batch files are easy to setup. I had problems with my TV when I tried to hook it up with a composite to s-video cable hooked up to my Geforce video card, but XP wouldn't realize it so I bought a converter. The picture is not very good when not playing games, but on the frontend its great, I recommend the converter when connecting a pc to tv because it doesn't need drivers or software to make it work, you plug it in and that's it. Most people won't have a problem when using a computer monitor, but I'm using a old crt tv and I want a big picture with playing all games including shmups. Anyway, I remade my marquee and got a control panel overlay, they both match and it cost me $25 for both! I also bought a new motherboard, this one was pretty cheap and upgradeable too
I bought this pc to tv converter box
I bought this composite to s-video cable
I got my new marquee and control panel overlay printed this place
Oh yeah, I redone the control panel, if you can't tell it's bigger and it has more room to rest my wrists on. I know its not really right because I'm using the JPN button layout on a US style arcade, IMO its more comfortable.
I hope you guys enjoy these pictures!
I need some buttons, joystick and a encoder I need a bigger light!

Some more pictures!
BTW I'm running Kega Fusion(gen/32x emu), Zsnes(snes emu), Kawaks(cps 1/2 and neo geo emu), and Raine(shmups/puzzle bobble)and Mame for everything else, IMO Mame is overrated, Kawaks works a lot better.

Man, I really need to build my own cabinet one day! I plan on making it the centerpiece of my future man cave.
