Best kung-fu action comedy movies
so im in the mood for this type of movie. i loved kung-fu hustle and sholin soccer. and moves like the first two rush hours and most movies with Jakie chan (during the late 1980's to 1990's) in it i like. and i can never forget about big trouble in little china. but I'm at a loss of what to watch. i know there's more out there. i just can't seem to find many. note I don't care if it has subtitles or not, i just want some good movies. can anyone tell me of some good ones?

I recently saw Tokyo Raiders. It was about a Hong Kong private eye traveling to Japan. It was neat to see the mixture of Japanese and Chinese. The story is a little confusing but not as bad as others I have seen, a lot of switching roles. The gadgets plus martial arts fighting is a nice change of pace. Just imagine Richard "Data" Wang from the goonies grown up and still inventing and learned martial arts.

Beverly Hills Ninja is always a good time. It's classic Chris Farley.

If you like Dragon Ball at all, check out Dragon Ball The Magic Begins. And be sure to watch it in English. The dub is like the power glove-its so bad! Aside from the name changes; it was more accurate than DB Evolution!

Watch the rest of the Stephen Chow collection. God of Gamblers 2 and 3, God of Cookery, and From Bejing with Love especially.
Re: Best kung-fu action comedy movies
Yeah, I was about to recommend God of Cookery as well.
I would also suggest looking up the work of Sammo Hung. He's done a lot of work over the years with Jackie Chan, directing and appearing in some of his movies(and vice versa). The Lucky Stars series of films are some of his most well known.

Once upon a time in china 2, Donnie Yen VS Jet li ftw.
If you're into Jackie Chan, I would recomend the Police Story series and Project A. I think those were some of his best.

Re: Best kung-fu action comedy movies
I agree with everything suggested so far as well. Most Stephen Chow movies are good to great. Generally Jackie Chan's older movies have more slapstick, which I happen to think is a good thing. If you like Humor/horror crossover like Evil Dead, Versus is fun. I bought the Japanese DVD before it came out here, that version is a bit on the long side, but when its good, its good. I completely forgot I picked up Versus Ultimate and haven't gotten around to watching how they added and cleaned it up. Its supposed to be better than the older US release.

Re: Best kung-fu action comedy movies
The only real comedic Jet Li movie I can think of is Hitman which I think was also called contract killer. I guess Kung Fu Cult Master had some comedic elements too but it ends on a cliffhanger that is never resolved since they never made the sequel. Although in general most Jet Li movies don't have much comedy just a lot of butt kicking.
It's not exactly a kung fu movie or a comedy but the Korean movie Rough Cut I thought was a riot. It can be serious but also funny and there's a lot of good ol' fisticuffs in it.
