Wii light guns Perfect Shot vs. Hand Cannon

Post by GamerMON »

I have recently bought a Wii. One the thrill of actually buying a game system myself during it's own generation, two so I could own all of Nintedo's home consoles (only portable I don't own are gbc light or any Ds) and because I want to play the New Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Brawl, and of course House of the Dead. I could get the nyko (their products are either adequate or useless in my past experience) perfect shot for $10 a piece or get the official House of the Dead overkill hand cannon for $30 (not released in U.S.). I am looking for two and like my controllers matching (growing up me and my brother would fight over the 1st party controller when playing street fighter). 60 bucks for some plastic seems a little much.

So my question to you:
Which have you used? How did you like it? Would you recommend? Do you think it is worth the money?

I have two perfect shots. Ive beaten Ghost Squad, House of the Dead 2, 3, and Overkill, with them, working flawlessly. The only downside is that the grips are alittle on the large size.

Shotgun baby!

I don't own one yet, but have played with it and it feels great! The local retailer that carries it should be getting more in next week 8) .

Do they have the red one like in the GR HD review? If so you have to snitch on where your local retailer is ...

i have both, and they both work well.

The upside and downside to the handcannon is that it sets the wii remote more forward from your hand so that it actually changes the center of gravity and takes a bit more effort to hold. Once you get used to that though, you'll be fine. Grips are cool and it has the EMS logo on it rather than house of the dead branding. Which is kinda cool. Makes it feel like you are part of the game.

The perfect shot is lighter, but also smaller. When you look at the two of them together, even though the perfect shot is easier to wield, the handcannon makes the PS look like a toy. With nothing to compare it to, the PS is a fine gun.

But yeah- both are good guns. Just depends on what you like. If you want something collectible, i would go with HC. If you want something that is just going to be easy to hold go with PS.

online:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/ ... dition=new
38 shipped to me
and
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_trkparms=6 ... p=15&_sc=1
40 shipped to me.
Hmm. While a shot gun does seem cool. And I like how the c, z, and analog pad are built in.

Another question: Anyone tried the gun that comes with Cabela's Big Game Hunt?

or this one

Even in the middle of nowhere Iowa where I gf's family leaves, there are still Buck Hunt light gun games. I am horrible at them but they are hilarious.

Since, all are seeming to be in the 35-40 range. Right now that looks good for the Buck Shot. HC is a cool collectable. But I really want something that makes it feel over the top.

I found it here on Innex's (Innex is the company that manufactures a lot of peripherals under several brand names) website:
http://www.innexinc.com/Ecommerce/Gener ... egoryId=40

And the only online store with them in stock was here at Solid Signal:

Red:
http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p= ... e=googleps

Black:
http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p= ... e=googleps

Has anyone here ever shopped at solid signal, are they legit?

Equalsign, buddy share the love! What store has them in stock, is it a national chain?

Sorry, but this store's in Utah. Play N Trade in Orem to be exact. Apparently the manager played with it at E3, thought they were really good, and ordered a few for his store. In fact, I just now called them and they got their shipment earlier than they thought they would. That is to say... just today. They have 10 total; 5 Red and 5 Black for 29.99 USD a piece. May have to go and grab a couple tommorrow :D !

I swear this is like porn for me - buckshot gallery. *drools*

Gotta warn you. According to the employee that I talked to the black model has a huge orange tip to prevent it from being mistaken for a real gun and less of a shiny finish.
