Yeah, the Genesis has no cables at all. It's jsut the console with 2 games and a controller.

I wanna pick up a Model 1 sometime though. How can you go wrong with a giant "High Definition Graphics" claim on the front.

Sorry, had to copy and paste that from another topic I had it in. But anyway, for a young gamer on a budget, you can't go wrong with a flea market. And don't forget, if you are at a flea market or garage sale, always try to bargain with the dealers a bit. I got most of those systems for at least $10 less then what people had them priced for.

Wow, I need to try a flea market sometime. It's a pain for me to get anywhere though. I don't have a car yet so I need my parents to give me a ride, and they really don't want to drive me to a flea market.

Good startup collection!

Now that you're getting a Genesis check out Comix Zone it along with Vectorman the Sonic titles are practically required Genesis games, they're just that good.

The bus can be an iffy way to travel if you're not living in a city or other heavily populated area, public transportation has pretty much disappeared from most towns and suburbs in the last twenty years.

Yeah, Sonic is the highest on my list for Genesis. So far I have 1 and 2, but I need to get 3 and Knuckles too. Once I get the 6 button arcade stick, which is also really high up on my list, I'll be getting Comix Zone.

There are no bus's were I live. I live in a small town. The closest Walmart/McDonalds/ect is 17 miles from me. And I have no siblings or friends, so that doesn't work either. Pretty much all traveling has to be done by my parents.

Sigh... I'm stuck in the same predicament at the moment, I'll get a car eventually though!

Try to get the Capcom Fighter Stick for the Genesis, it's one of the few nice high quality arcade sticks for the system, features arcade quality Semitsu buttons and can usually be had on the cheap.
